Landing was commissioned by a customer that loved bald eagles and wanted the wings spread open. It was decided to show the eagle landing on a tree stump. Landing has a wing span of 48 inches. The feathers were individually made from copper except for the tail feathers, which are brass. The head and feet are welded brass. The customer wanted the eagle to have a dark patina to the copper.
